PHOTOSHOW 2012 "80.000 mega people"
It is set in Rome from 30th March to 2nd April the most important trade fair in Italy devoted to Photo and Digital Imaging.

Photoshow is ready to consolidate its leading role for the Imaging world. All major international brands have confirmed their presence. Focus on the latest technological news and on the general public.

Milan, 12th January 2012 – The 13th edition of Photoshow - the annual exhibition promoted by AIF (Italian Association of Photo-Digital Imaging) - is about to go back to Rome to update business operators and enthusiasts on the latest news in the field of Photography.

At pavilions 11 and 13 of Fiera Roma, visitors will find the largest showcase of products presented by the major players of this sector, as well as a rich calendar of workshops, seminars, live-sets, exhibitions, contests, awards and amusements.

In spite of the economic situation and the persisting of economic difficulties worldwide, the figures of last Milan edition (65.000 visitors, +2% compared to the previous 2009 Milan edition) give an accurate picture of the satisfaction of operators and visitors, who consider Photoshow as an unescapable occasion of meeting and debating. The historic alternation of venue between Milan and Rome is in this sense positive, as it enables visitors coming from different geographic areas to be present at this appointment.

In a sector where technology devoted to the creation and sharing of images is ever more sophisticated and within everybody’s reach, the data confirm that passion for photography is growing. During the first nine months of 2011 the market of digital photography registered a turnover of about 330 millions Euro, with an increase of 6,2% compared to the same period of 2010. 2.351.356 cameras were sold, and among these the interchangeable optics cameras were up by 26,8% (source AIF).

The image of Photoshow 2012 synthetizes the concept of the show and summarizes in one flash its peculiarities: the new visual is a camera composed of 3D pixels, made with the photos sent by the fans of the event. Tridimensionality and sharing are emphasized as features of modern photography, which is no longer static and lonely, but dynamic and involving, a ground of meeting and exchange thanks to the web and the social networks.

Even the headline "80.000" mega people plays with technical terms, transforming them: the mega pixels become persons, the people attending the Fair, the real beating heart of an always growing show which hopes for 80.000 visitors for this edition.
